Background and Experience
Charles brings forty-five years of industry, sales and marketing experience
to Sunbelt. In industry he was a staff scientist for several aerospace
engineering firms including the Mitre Corporation, a think tank in the
Washington, D.C. area. Charles’ business experience includes running a very
successful large national insurance agency with several agents operating across
the country. After the agency experience, Charles joined Benefit Trust Life
Insurance Company of Chicago as the Eastern Sales Manager. He was quickly
promoted to Vice President of Sales and moved to Chicago in 1987, and left as an
officer of Trustmark Life Insurance Company in 2001.
After his tenure with Trustmark, Charles remained active in the insurance business working with business owners to structure their health and retirement plans. Moving to Sunbelt was a natural transition from these endeavors and he completely understands the needs of business owners. He brings a passion to the lifecycle of helping business owners sell their business, including the process of building an exit strategy, marketing the business, coordinating buyer screening, negotiating due diligence and securing win-win outcomes.
Charles holds a PhD in engineering from the University of Illinois.
